General information about applying to the lab I am always happy to hear from motivated students and prospective post-doctoral candidates who are interested in undertaking field-based research. If the research that we do in my lab is of interest to you, please contact me via email, including a recent CV and brief overview of your research interests. Although we don't have any targeted openings at the moment, you can find details about recruitment for ongoing research efforts here. I accept graduate students through the University of Alberta's Department of Biological Sciences. Prospective students should plan to contact me about their interest before submitting an application to our program. You can familiarize yourself with the application procedures for our program here. In addition, prospective graduate students should check out opportunities for funding through the University of Alberta and national agencies such as NSERC. In addition to graduate students, I will also typically hire one (or more) senior undergraduates to assist with our field needs every summer. Field assistants can expect to spend several months in the field, and should be prepared to work long days in often inclement conditions. Good luck!
